The Casby Awards took over Toronto last night and some of Canada’s favourite bands went home Winners Metric took Favourite New Indie Release and favourite new album….for Fantasies

Monopoly
If you thought you were the best monopoly player you must not have competed this week at the Monopoly World Championship in Las Vegas because 19 year old Bjorn Halvard of Norway took the top prize of just over $20,000 let’s hope what happens in vegas doesn’t stay there for Bjorn.

Adam Beach
Adam Beach has leased 10 channels from an online broadcast company and hopes to provide a slate of aboriginal programming by and for the aboriginal community. Beach says the venture with the New York-based OpenVision Networks is in early stages but that he's already stocked his channels with Canadian fare including the APTN drama Moccasin Flats and his old Showcase comedy, Moose TV
